It's About Time - The miracle of making this record
Thank you Robert Plant!... I say this because I stumbled on his solo career and history as I looked up some of the music I grew up with and loved in the 60's and 70's...curious about what they were doing now. At the time I was battling serious issues with my throat and was ready to give up singing. His trials, surgery on his vocal chords, and his determination, not to mention, he's still singing and touring, they were all an inspiration to me to not give up. I pressed doctors to look harder and they discovered a rare bacterial infection that was there from pneumonia a year prior called Prevotella, requiring an unusual antibiotic. I was able to sing again and re-recorded the song, then got bronchitis! But through it all, the students I substitute teach here in Rexburg, Idaho, always wanted me to keep bringing my guitar and sing...my biggest fans! That also kept me going. Also, friends and family were there for me...so thank you ..all of you! there were other miracles...their names are: Ariel Loveland, the incredible violinist on the record...Our Orchestra teacher for the Middle school and Junior high, Aaron Miller, on double Bass ..a Professor at BYU Idaho with a doctorate in double bass, he happened to go to church with me! And Christian Mawlam, also at church, he happened to be a professor as well at the college..in filmmaking, having been a professional filmmaker in England. He and his students created the beautiful music video as a project, so...free! Also, a wonderful guy name Brandon Wallace at Luxetone Studios in Boise, Idaho, did an incredible job mixing and mastering my first single! They all just happened to land in my life at the same time about a year after writing the song, which also dropped down from heaven, taking about an hour to write.! And...there ended up being a second song from the guy's point of view...and ..a mash-up of the two! So, three songs in one! This song shows how a healthy relationship works and that has meant so much to me as I sing it to these pre-teens. I love these kids and want to be an influence for good with my music. That's the joy for me. I'm so grateful for all the support, and hope I can share this song with everyone!
